Celebrating success: Every Kid Sports 2023 Achievements
What a wild ride 2023 has been! We’re so grateful to our Every Kid Sports community for your support this year and we’re excited to share the 2023 achievements that you helped make possible.
The Every Kid Sports mission: is to find and facilitate the funding that helps kids from income-restricted families participate in youth sports so they, too, can experience the positive benefits of playing. Together, we’ve provided 16,906 kids with the opportunity to play this year and that number continues to grow (our Winter Season remains open!). You can find more information about our annual impact in our 2023 report here.
Between Every Kid Sports Pass seasons, our team makes upgrades to the application and program process to ensure an excellent experience for families. Some of these improvements include; introducing a queueing system, keeping the application open for 30 days, utilizing our financial partner Chek Spend’s capabilities, improving our application status page, and creating a pre-season check-list for our applicants all led to an algorithm that helps us put even more equity in play.
In support of our program we were excited to bring on eight new sponsors who helped us reach new communities (see their logos above!) We also declared June as Youth Sports Equity Month to raise awareness around the inequities in youth sports and highlight the work we are doing to put more equity in youth sports. Lastly, to reach a larger audience we connected with Casey LaDelle, an influencer on YouTube who we helped create some content with (see the video here!) and were highlighted in a CBS The Talk segment “Swish it or Dish it” which brought in $5,000 to get more kids playing.
