Aiden’s Chanukah Fundraiser

For Aiden, sports aren’t just an activity, they’re his favorite thing in the world. That’s exactly why he chose to support Every Kid Sports for Chanukah. “Because sports is my favorite thing in the world and some kids couldn’t experience it. It hurts to hear news like that.”

After reflecting on how fortunate he is to have access to sports, Aiden made a powerful decision. Instead of asking for gifts for Chanukah, he set up a fundraiser to help give all kids the chance to play.

“It’s a great feeling because when you give, you get a good feeling. If I have shorts, a t-shirt, and sports balls, I’m set for a while. I’m very grateful for what I have and other kids should have it too.”

Aiden shared that after receiving lots of gifts in the past, he realized he didn’t really need anything more. What mattered most to him was making sure other kids could experience the joy, confidence, and belonging that come with playing sports.

Motivated by that belief, and supported by his community, Aiden raised an incredible $1,625.16, helping open the door to sports for kids who otherwise may have been left out.

His generosity is a powerful reminder that making a difference doesn’t depend on age, just heart.
