T-MOBILE LITTLE LEAGUE® CALL UP GRANT FAQS
General FAQs
A program dedicated to directly assisting families in need by helping to cover registration fees associated with their local Little League program. T-Mobile and Little League share the belief that every child should have the chance to experience Little League, regardless of their financial or personal situation.
Our partners at T-Mobile donated $2 million dollars to the Call Up Grant during the 2020 MLB Postseason by way of their Beyond the Bases content series, text-to-donate campaign, and home runs hit by some of MLB’s biggest stars.

The T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant will cover a family’s registration fees up to $125; however, we understand that some local league’s fees are higher than that allotted amount to help cover their operating expenses. While registration fees and equipment needs for youth activities are a reality, at no time should payment be a prerequisite for participation in the Little League program. It is important for leagues to find a way to ensure that every child has the opportunity to be a part of the program, no matter their family’s financial or personal situation. We encourage families in this scenario to work with their local league’s Board of Directors to identify other solutions to help offset those registration costs and ensure those children have the opportunity to enjoy the Little League experience. Additional tips for leagues on how to handle this situation can be found on LittleLeagueUniversity.org.

Leagues
No. Only families signing-up to play in a chartered Little League Baseball and Softball program are eligible. To find a local league near you visit PlayLittleLeague.org.
The first time an application is approved for a family in your league, your league will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions on how to register with their payment processing platform. Leagues can request to receive payment either via a check or ACH. ACH is the preferred payment method as it is the most efficient and cost-effective means for receiving payment. Once the registration is complete, leagues will be able to see every payment that was issued, and which children were supported. You can also visit Getting Started Page to learn more about registering with our payment processing platform.
All league contacts (Presidents, Vice President, and Treasurers) will be notified via email using the information provided on the Little League Data Center and it is important that local leagues make sure their league officer information is up to date.
Leagues will be notified as soon as a child in their league is approved. Payment will be made to leagues six (6) weeks prior to the start of their season. Please contact Every Kid Sports at [email protected] with any payment related questions.
As applications are approved, the funds donated through the text-to-donate campaign will be distributed based on zip code. If there are no grant recipients in a particular zip code, funds will be redirected to a recipient elsewhere in that state. Additional, general non-geographic-specific funds are also available in an effort to support as many eligible families as possible.
Downloadable resources are available for local leagues to help promote the program within their community to encourage new families to join including:
- Letter to the Community
- Social Media Posts
- Website Graphics
- Pre-built Flyers
- Email Headers
Grant funds should be utilized to support registration fees for these children for the 2021 season. If they age out of your local league, or are unable to participate for any reason, please allocate these funds for another scholarship player or eligible player in need.
